The zines have arrived. If you want to take a look inside, there’s an online Dutch version, and an English version as well. I did the lay-out.

Gerlin and Kasper-Jan tell you all about their favorite new bands. There are interviews with Trophy Wife, Veronica Falls, Idiot Glee and Frankie & The Heartstrings inside.

We Promised online

I made a new header for Dilly Blog.

Phara told me I should make tote bags from my dance dance dance design. It would be way too expensive to get them printed in the original colors (I think I used 7 colors), so I made it into a two color design just to see how it would look and I really like how it turned out. I’m really considering getting them printed. Would anyone be interested in buying one if I did?

I did the lay-out for a zine that Gerlin and Kasper-Jan made. It’s sent of to the printer and will be available soon. 

“We Promised breaks with tradition. In our musiczine we focus on the most interesting foreign bands of the moment. The ones that don’t get enough attention in Belgian media; bands who often don’t make it to the end of year lists but still produce music of high quality. With a fresh outlook on the music scene We Promised goes for the bands it believes in, not neces- sarily for the hyped ones.

Two hundred and fifty unique copies of the magazine will be lying around at Café Video, Music Mania, the Democrazy gigs & Dance Dance Dance (A Blog Party).”

My new years resolution is to be more productive. That’s the only way to get better at something, isn’t it?

I’m going try to make something every day. I made this today (and I made a website for our party today too, I am so productive lately).

I changed the layout for my blog too, take a look if you’d like.

My “make something every day” project doesn’t really fit on this blog so I made a separate blog for it, 365.

Early 2009, I came across a tumblr blog where David Horvitz would post an idea every day. His idea was to send the ideas away and see what happens. For example, one idea was to take a photograph of your head inside a freezer and upload it to the internet with the tag 241543903.

I really like the idea of making something happen everyday. Every day is full of possibilities.

I participated in the project, and when he asked for people to send pictures documenting how they interpreted his ideas, I e-mailed him a picture, and that’s why a picture of my room made it into the book.

David Horvits’ book about the project is out now. It’s awesome. You can buy it here.

Dance Dance Dance is a party a couple of friends with blogs (Neon Enlightenment, Disco Naïveté and Dilly Blog) and me are organizing.
I designed the poster for the party.
Gerlin and I are going to play some of our favorite records together as Germs.
